NAUSET BEACH LIGHTHOUSE
NORTH OF EASTHAM, CAPE COD, MA.
This lighthouse is about midway between the Cape Cod or Highland light and Chatham, Mass. The red and white coloration is unique among lights on Cape Cod, as the majority of them are simply white. However this light if more unique than any other on the Cape, it is one of the twin towers which was once the Chatham station. Moved to the current area in 1923, the light was painted the current red and white in 1941. The tower endured yet another move in 1966, and once again to the present location in 1998. One could call this lighthouse one of the most traveled in the world given its itinerary.
