Wow such an exciting and amazing capture Skip!! is that the same woodpecker defending against the same bird jay? the woodpecker look so gorgeous in your image!! awesome shot!! on my side it is the eagle and the crow who constantly fighting with each other!! i once saw hummingbirds fighting with each other too and both of them act like fighter jet diving and rising in high speed, a sighting that make me hold my breath for few minutes!!
