Description
This is just a pretty lighthouse, well kept, in a very pleasant little town. People fly fishing from the shore for stripped bass, ocean going fishers tied to the docks, and a 50 foot tower casting a green light about ten miles to sea. This tower was first built in 1798 and refurbished as it stands today in 1890. One can only imagine the life style of the people who lived here in the early 1800s. This is the eleventh lighthouse to be erected in these United States. A note should be made of the very historical glass in the tower. They are curved triangular and diamond-shaped storm panes
